June 27, 2009, 6:01 pm-We just reported that Rupert Grint conducted a new interview with the Telegraph where he opens up quite a bit about his career and the infamous kiss scene with his Harry Potter co-star Emma Watson. Well now the entire interview has been published online exclusively with the DailyMail where he opens up for the very first time describing personal fears about the acting business, his goals for the future and how fame has still not affected him. It’s one of the most telling and heartfelt interviews Rupert has ever done and we are so very proud of him.
Excerpt:
From here on, I don’t want to play it safe. I need to take on roles that are as far away from Harry Potter as it’s possible to get. If I’m to continue as an actor, I need to play characters that are nothing like me at all.’

The French TV show “50 Minutes Inside” has aired an exclusive clip from Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince starring Rupert Grint, Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson showing many new scenes from the film with Ron Weasley! The clips reveal more Ron/Lavender action, Ron’s Quidditch tryout and a even a new interview with Rupert and his Harry Potter co-stars. In addition, there is a cute shot of Rupert jumping on a trapeze with a broom! (Perhaps, that’s where Rupert discovered he’d like to know how to perform gymnastics…)

Oh God. I just got finished the interview. Anyone who says Rupert isn’t interesting needs to read this and Blag. I’ve learned more about him in these two interviews than I have in all the years I’ve been following, and I learned a lot over the years! He’s really coming into his own… and that quote about people wanting him in films and all… does it not seem as bad to you guys? It seems less sad than it did when The Telegraph quoted it.

Oh, it still saddens me, but it’s not as sad because the context makes more sense.
I agree about learning Wild Target stuff. I love that! He can put a 9mm together blind folded. LOL I also love his deep comments about violence in movies and what role it plays in culture (I agree with you Rupert!) and his candid comments about Rob Knox.
I also love that he gets all serious and then just comes off about the Ice Cream Truck tunes. (Which makes me wonder if that guy ever gave *our* CD to Rupert…)

This is all due to HBP promotion heating up and Rupert will rock this movie. And now the WB have finally given Ron the attention he deserves and Rupert the chance to really show even more of his incredible acting skills (not to mention his sexy good looks), the media finally FINALLY pays attention.
This is the best interview besides the Blag one I’ve ever read from him. He shows how deep, sensitive and smart he is. He also shows how endearingly quirky and funny he is. This interview is touching and enlighting. Of course it’s still sad that he second guesses his acting skills so much, but as others have already said, in this context it sounds a bit better. And we’ll continue to show him how awesome he is.
And the pics… when I clicked on the link to read the interview, I didn’t even expect (so many) pics. My jaw hasn’t dropped as far down since I first saw the Tony pics. For how long have we been saying he needs to do photoshoots in a suit. How beautiful, cool and sexy he looks. The next James Bond indeed. He’s prepared for it. You’re certainly right, guys. Oh my God, what an interview. I don’t think I’ve ever seen an interview with Rupert that was this in-depth (I haven’t read the Blag interview yet as it hasn’t come out where I live). I never figured out Rupes was this deep and that he had so much to say.
