Rupert Grint And Co-Stars To Attend Harry Potter and Half-Blood Prince Premiere In NYC!

28km3yo1June 24, 2009, 5:11pm–A news press release has been issued confirming Rupert Grint and his Harry Potter co-stars attendance to the Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince premiere in New York City at the Ziegfeld theater. It will be held at 6pm on July 9th! Aside from Rupert, Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson, co-stars Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy) and Bonnie Wright (Ginny Weasley) will also be in attendance along with director David Yates and producers David Heyman and David Barron. Ice Cream Man intends to not only have yet another premiere convention but we also plan on being on the red carpet! We will keep you up-to-date on anything else with both the London and NYC premieres, so please stay tuned!

Update: LA Times’ Hero Complex has updated it’s blog with an interview with Mark Williams who portrays Rupert Grint’s father Arthur Weasley in the Harry Potter films. There is not much regarding Rupert in the interview, however Mr. Williams did have this to share about Rupert and his co-star Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter) during the early years:

Dan and Rupert could just have this giggle hour. It just reminded me of being back in school. you know, that time around 2 or 3 o’clock, you just couldn’t say anything serious.

When asked if he found it difficult to be caught up in the Harry Potter whirlwind, he said no, but…

for Dan and Emma and Rupert, they haven’t yet got that choice.

    There’s a rumour spreading now that dan and rupert were out getting drunk!some how i believe it then i don’t.Seeing as they said they only communicate by texting off set!but who knows.lol! great pictures of rupert grint awesome love them!

    I have a question,
    if it premieres on the 9th can local moviegoers see the film in that same theater its premiering? or this premiere are only for special peeps?

    Coz last i remember during Cherrybomb premiere, there’s once ICM girl already inside grabbing seats in the theater while JO and others are outside having a lovely time with Rupert.

    Im confused. And must I hope, this premiere news thing is valid!

    I’ve have just realized that I’ve never read an interview Mark Williams :o He must be very cool, he sounds youger than he really is!! XD

    I wish Jessie could attend the NY premiere, too :( But I’ll suppose she will be busy with Arcadia.
