Rupert Grint: Upcoming Cherrybomb Screening!

June 18, 2009, 3:48pm-HPEF film festival is reporting that there is a scheduled screening for Rupert Grint’s movie Cherrybomb on Monday July 20th at the Zeum theater in San Fransicso CA! This is all apart of a Harry Potter Festival  event called Azkatraz! Because of the content and language in Cherrybomb, only those over the age of 17, or those accompanied by a parent or guardian, may attend that portion of the Azkatraz Film Festival; since the theater is small, only those holding a single-day, Weekend, Full or Merlin’s Circle registration can purchase a ticket to Cherrybomb. UPDATE: Remember that in order to see Cherrybomb, tickets are only available with a registration, but any registration will do. A single-day registration for Monday is $45. With the film ticket, that’s a total of $60.

Full weekend passes are available for $130, and that includes admission
to the weekend’s programming, evening activities, the opportunity to
play professional Quidditch on Friday July 17, and the Prison Break Ball
on Sunday night.

There’s also programming at Zeum on Monday available for $130 for the
whole day, which includes breakfast, lunch, and a reception at 4:30, or
in individual sessions for $15 per session.

The deadline to register is July 10th!!!!

    so do you have to register with them to be able to get a ticket to see it? i’m so there. i’ll make a trip out of it, and i bet i could report back to you guys about anything new!

    this is great, everybody that lives close enough is so lucky, I wish I could see it too. But I’m confident it will be released here as well, eventually! :) anyway, really good news

    Well not many fans will have the chance though because again it being California. So many fans couldn’t travel all of that way. I remember when the premiere for OOTP was in LA and many were bummed. Somewhere on the east coast would have been better but hey it’s still cool.

    I’m from the bay area but haven’t lived there in ages. I was just planning on attending a conference there but it’s in August. Oh well.

    Dang. I’m going to San Francisco on the 20th but won’t get in early enough to go. :(

    btw I’m dying trying to decide where the hell to stay there. Anyone have any advice?

    Hi – I’m one of the organizers of Azkatraz. Just FYI we are also hosting meet-ups at the Parc55 Hotel during the con for registrants, so if a lot of people are planning to come in on Sunday and Monday, check out the website for the word FLOCK to see how to get one on the schedule. It’s too late to put it into the program, but we can get it onto the website, at least.

    Hmm… They said that they’re bringing the US premiere of Cherrybomb… If they call their screening a premiere, does that mean that there will be more screenings later?? :D

    Well, it will be show to just few lucky people now, but I’m glad that, at least, “Cherrybomb” will be flying over the Atlantic! ;)
