humm…maybe I am being a bit too harsh…*remembers POA* no actually, I mean it, I hate the man. That may be true about the director’s influence but there’s no excuse to the amount of Ron lines that Kloves gave to Hermione, and how he made him look like an extra for most of the time. There’s just no excuse for that to me. The directors have changed almost every year, the common factor is Kloves (I thought OotP!Ron was better, so that just prooves it more for me) and although the fault may not be 100% his, most of it is his fault indeed imo. It may be harsh, and I admit I wouldn’t say “go rot in hell” to him in his face, but I would tell him, politely, that I think he failed doing his job over the years when it came to the characters – Ron, mostly, but also Hermione. I’d have no problem at all saying to him if he was standing here at my side right now.

i agree, FugitiveStar but he doesnt have to write exactly like the book saids like jk rowling says but he doesnt have to make the film totally different from the book! i mean there cuttting out dumbledore’s funeral!

Wow, harsh.

I thought the interview actually gave a good insight over how much influence a director has over the final product (including the script), versus the screenwriter. It could be one reason why the characters may seem “more” in character in one movie over another, even though they were written by the same person, but directed by a different director.

Anyway, love the quidditch Ron poster with Lavender fangirling him. If possible, that one is going to be framed and hanging in my bedroom someday.
