I walked into a movie theater yesterday and BAM! Bigger than life Rupert taking up the whole screen in his adorable little tank top. I almost dropped my popcorn down the center isle. It was kinda like the veela effect, I think.

Oh, I could never forget about Ron. He’s my favorite character, perhaps ever. I just was losing excitement for HBP because it’s so far away and it’s taking so long. I’m still not as excited for HBP as I usually am for a HP movie. At least not yet. I bet when it gets closer to July and there’s more promotion, I’ll get really excited again.
I am looking forward to the thing in MTV and the thing at the end of the Oscars. I hope they’re not the same thing, though. Probably are.

I am excited about HBP but it still can’t give me the spark that CB or WT does. Plus I am still leary of Rupert’s screen time. I really won’t have an opinion on HBP till I have sat down and watched it. Although I can’t lie ICM does have some bigger exclusives for HBP than we did last year so yeah excitment will surface for me but much much later when promotion starts.

Well, I’m not through my first week yet but it’s overwhelming, I haven’t worked for a while and suddenly I’m working full time.
It’s a nice change from nappy changing but also a bit mind blowing before you get into the rhythm of things!!!
The students are nice and my colleagues seem cool so overall it’s a positive experience.
Not as cool as interviewing Rupert, I admit, but still good!

As for HBP I don’t expect it to be like the books or follow the books so we should know by now it won’t be up to par. I am trying not to think of all the ways Ron (and therefore Rupert) have gotten or could get the shaft in in HBP and DH. If I do, I just get ticked off. And hearing how fantastic Rupert is in CB just makes it that much worse that he hasn’t gotten the chance to shine and if they just kept Ron as he is in the books, then he would get that chance.

I think I would still bother b/c I do enjoy the films for what they are. I just wish they could be more because the material is there for them to be great. I wish Goldenberg had taken over scriptwriting. OOTP had tons of quotes and scenes directly from the book.

Like I said before, Ron should get his own show…Auror Ron: the series and he Hermione (Kimberly Nixon) and sidekick Conor (Colin/Nigel/Seamus hybrid) can fight deatheaters to Joss Whedon scripted wit.
Another proposition is that Malachy enters Hogwarts late in life as the Weasley’s distant NI cousin.
it would be like Ron having a evil twin (like Jeannie and Samantha from Bewitched), except Malachy’s not evil.
I’d keep Malachy away from the Floo Powder though, lest he uses it “improperly.”

I don’t really remember his sentences being cut off in OOTP. I saw it seven times in the theater and who knows how many on DVD.
Overall, the movie was closer to the spirit of the book than any of the other films, with perhaps the exception of SS. I’ve pretty much accepted that the characters are a muddled version of their book-selves in the movies, but I feel that OOTP at least made more of an effort. I hope Yates continues that.

I think there might be some problems with the comments. I just upgraded to the newest version of wordpress, and the paged comments might not be cooperating. Whatever you guys do, don’t hit “all” because you should be able to see them if you just click on the numbers.
I’ve also made some other fun updates. Unfortunately our last social bookmarking plugin decided it’d be more fun not to work. lol But I like the new one… there is an e-mail option and a print option now. We also have a new contact form… all submit news areas will be sent directly to staff.

Girls, those of you who use Internet Explorer might have problems with comments. Other browsers (Firefox, Safari etc.) work well, but IE has been known to suck. Perhaps you guys should try installing Firefox.
Oh and I have just finished packing, ordered a taxi to the airport for tomorrow morning (I don’t drive), etc. Yay! I have butterflies in my stomach, I suppose that’s a normal reaction to the prospect of seeing Cherrybomb in less than 24 hours!

The automatic upgrade, I believe, does it for you. That’s an option the newest version has… it does everything for you automatically so you don’t have to. But some plugins are only compatible with previous versions and the plugin author has to upgrade the plugin to work with the latest version.

Well, I mean, why? As long as you don’t click on ‘all’ (sort of mutes the point of paged comments, right?) you’re fine. There was actually another interesting plugin I found… but I’m not sure if it pages comments, but you can actually just reply to the person and it’s a threaded look. But I dunno if you have to have a login to do that… I’m just babbling though.

Well actually it’s not fine. I’m using Firefox now, and when I post a new comment, I don’t see the comments thread at all, just the original news post! Then I have to click on the post title, and that reloads the comments and then I can see them properly.

There is a glitch in the plugin after I updated wordpress. I apologize. I’m working on a way to deactivate the plugin and not mess up this and also maybe get a different one up… I dunno. But it’ll have to wait until tomorrow. I’m tired. For now, if you don’t see your comment, just hit back or go to the main page and come back… it posts the comments, you just can’t see it like before until you do one of these two steps.
