Rupert Grint Rave Reviews Update!
While we await the latest news, I have discovered some more great reviews of Rupert Grint’s previous movie roles. Thus I have just updated our Rave Reviews section with six reviews of “Harry Potter And The Sorcerer’s Stone” (starting from NYC Movies), and seven reviews of “Harry Potter And The Chamber Of Secrets” (starting from Movie Eye). Here’s just a few quotes from the COS era: “Reprising their roles, Radcliffe, Grint, and Watson are able to once again find that camaraderie that is essential to their characters, with Grint stealing the show with his facial expressions and mannerisms.” “After narrowly escaping with earnest friend Ron Weasley (Rupert Grint, great fun again) in Ron’s dad’s flying, turquoise Ford Anglia, Harry’s adventure begins.” “Rupert Grint, who plays Harry’s best pal Ron Weasley, also had a growth spurt between films, but he remains the everykid who grounds the story in earthy good humor.” Thanks to Dunigan for letting us know that the rumour that a new “Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince” trailer would be attached to Inkheart (in the US at least) was indeed false. The trailer that was played before Inkhart was the one released a few months ago, with the remarkable scene of Ron’s poisoning in it. Continue reading
UPDATE: Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince Japanese Trailer!
January 23, 2009 – 11:27am: As we reported earlier, a new Japanese trailer for “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” featuring Rupert Grint is now online via YouTube. You can view it here. Rupert’s co-star Daniel Radcliffe introduces the bit and you can see plenty of new scenes: among them, several scenes with Jim Broadbent as Prof. Slughorn, Michael Gambon as Dumbledore, and the Death Eaters. Be aware that some of it is dubbed in Japanese, however you will be able to hear most of the dialogue — though unfortunately Rupert has none. While the Rupert scenes are rather limited, we do get to see the action shot of Ron and Harry gripping hands before the quidditch match as well as the party scene in action from another angle. We will hopefully have a downloadable version very shortly as well as our own screencaps. Thanks to The Leaky Cauldron for the tip! Continue reading
UPDATE: New Cherrybomb Synopsis!
January 22, 2009, 5:23 AM–A new synopsis for Rupert Grint’s eagerly awaited film Cherrybomb has just emerged online! Junge Journalisten (The Young Journalists, who will be reviewing the films competing in the Generation category at the Berlin Film Festival) have just updated their Cherrybomb page with a new synopsis, giving us a bit more insight into the characters’ actions and motivations. It seems to me that, after brilliantly portraying Ben Marshall in Driving Lessons, Rupert plays another teenager who has an overbearing mother! What do you think: “It’s gotta be wild to be good. The final exams are over and Malachy and Luke hang out at the leisureplex with their friends. Something needs to happen this summer – no matter what. Enter Michelle: In ankle boots and babydoll dress she struts fresh out of London and into their lives. The bomb has been lit. Who gets the girl? Or, who gets her first? Pills are downed, lines snorted and cars dented. The main thing is – not to stay home.” UPDATE: Additionally, it has just been announced that Cherrybomb is also up for the Best First Feature Award at the Berlinale! For further information on this prize, click here. Thanks to Hunter! Continue reading

The First HQ Poster For Rupert Grint Movie Cherrybomb!
January 21, 2009, 5:20 AM–The Little Film Company has updated their website with a brand new Cherrybomb poster featuring not only Rupert Grint on the poster, but his name being the main attraction on it! While the poster is similar to the previous one, there are quite a few differences. For one thing, the poster’s font color is red. Secondly the tagline is “Two Guys. One Girl. Game On.” The title of the poster, when saved, also insinuates this will be the “final” poster that the Cherrybomb team will come out with as it makes its festival rounds at Berlin (and possible other places). Hopefully we’ll be able to retain a larger version of this poster soon. Meanwhile, you may view it in our galleries here! Continue reading
