Rupert Grint’s Rave Reviews Relaunched!

Rupert Grint’s Rave Reviews Relaunched! December 27, 2008, 6:20AM–Welcome to the relaunch of one of the best loved sections of ICM — the ever so fabulous Rupert Grint’s Rave Reviews! As one of the most talented actors of his generation, Rupert Grint has constantly astonished the movie critics and audiences alike since he debuted on the big screen back in 2001. We have collected the critics’ words of praise for our favourite actor and we are proud to share them with you.

At the moment, this unique, extensive and regularly updated online collection hosts over 600 articles, for every movie Rupert has been in, from Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone to Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. To celebrate the beginning of 2009 – The Year of Rupert Grint, Rave Reviews have just been perked up with a new layout – check it out here! We hope you’ll like it as much as we do.

We have also added 11 new/old reviews of Driving Lessons (starting from New York Daily News). So far, we have collected no less than 142 rave reviews for Rupert’s very first leading role in DL – well done mate! And since Rupert has three movies getting released in 2009, we will hopefully be adding many more reviews soon.

Enjoy!

I love those from the OOTP reviews……

“Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley) got little screen time in this one but, at the same time, he grew into an excellent scene stealer.”

ROFL Jo! It’s funny how much critics have and continue to praise Rupert.

I’m hoping Yates read that one because he seems to be giving Ron more to do. I’m also hoping that since DH will still be filmed while CB is released, that everyone working on HP sees that Rupert is clearly under used and can give strong performances (I have no doubt CB will be an incredibly strong performance!) that they can rely on to make the movie better! (Hint, hint to the Hermione torture scene!)

This is one of my favs from OOTP

“And, most important, the teen actors get better with every outing. The confused look on Ron’s (Rupert Grint) face as Hermione snippily asks, ”Do you ever stop eating?” is simply wonderful. It’s one of the most natural reaction shots in the entire series, a three-second distillation of what makes Phoenix perhaps the best Potter film yet.”

I love that one too! It’s so true, and while I think Rupert always has the best, most natural reactions to everything, it is by far one of the most normal reactions in a normal setting.

Gosh, I can’t wait for HBP, CB, and WT reviews! Especially with all we know of the first two, but I’m also so interested in reviews of WT because Rupert has to keep up with Bill Nighy and Emily Blunt. The first being perhaps the biggest older actor of our time and one of the youngest popular actors currently. Not that I don’t see it happening, I’m just curious as to what the critics will say. He held his own with Julie and Laura, two major actresses, but I think these are a bit different in circumstances.

I dreamt about the CB trailer. It was so strange and intense. But it was really like a thriller, it looked more like a horror flick. Damn that was a weird dream but Rupert and Kim looked hot in though.

Now where is that trailer?

Or some WT news would be nice too.

Laura, I think all of us will cry. We’ve all been waiting SO long for this film to come out. and SO long for him to take on challenging roles that’ll tell everyone who talked bad about him to shut up. Lol I think this film is going to affect us all emotionally…
