December 19, 2008, 5:02PM–We have been so excited about Cherrybomb in the past couple of days, that we have somewhat neglected Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. However, several articles have popped up recently, containing various bits of information, which might be of interest to us die-hard Rupert Grint fans.
First off, The Press Association has featured HP producer David Heyman who talked about the trio. He is reported to have said that none of the stars are allowed to put on any “airs or graces” during filming. Heyman has also claimed to have been incredibly lucky to get such grounded young stars for Harry Potter, who haven’t become divas, or gone off the rails:
“I don’t think its going to happen to them, they’re pretty together, really good kids, well – young adults now.” Heyman has also allegedly said that the filming for Deathly Hallows I & II will last for 54 weeks (?!) — yes, that’s more than a year. The article, which you may read here, does contain some guffs (for example the claim that the first HP film was made back in 1997!), so please take it with a grain of salt.
Second, TLC has been sent a video interview that David Heyman has given to Collider.com – you may view it here. Heyman noted he had just been in London discussing the scripts for DH I & II with David Yates and Steve Kloves. When asked about the spliting point, Heyman said it won’t be an action- packed moment but “an emotional and very truthful” point that fans will be happy with. Could it be The Silver Doe chapter? 
Heyman also noted that Half-Blood Prince has a running time of about two and a half hours – yay!
You might also want to read two more TLC articles: one of them is Melissa Anelli’s HBP set report preview. Among other things, she notes that Jessie Cave (aka Lavender Brown) said her kissing scenes with Rupert Grint made her concerned about “chipping a tooth” – so we may look forward to some wild snogging indeed! The other one is an Emma Watson interview. Emma proves to be a true R/Hr shipper (which we have always known) and says that she does keep in touch with Dan and Rupert between HP films. Read it here.

Perhaps, (as a producer), in his mind (cause he’s responsible for overseeing the entire thing, ….past just the acting), he’s including, pre-production, production, and post production.

I hope that’s all he means, AJ, because 54 weeks is a LOT! And I remembered way back they said that it probably wouldn’t alter how much they filmed because it was split. That it’d be pretty much like the other films which always ranged from 8-11 months!

I always said it would be a year or so of filming. They started filming OOTP in Feb. 2006 and filming ended in October 2006. I figured filming part 1 and 2 at the same time it would take an additonal 4-5 months.

Didn’t the Chicago goers say something about it being shorter? I don’t remember anyone talking about a 2.5 hour film, so it sounds like maybe they added stuff by the sounds of it. But I could be wrong!

What they did to Dan isn’t much better, the write-up is nice, but the picture used is from DB. They talk about a project that may never materialize with Journey, but with Emma they fail to talk about the movie she is rumored to be apart of! And poor Tom Felton only gets a picture from CoS!
I thought about putting it up, but I don’t think it’s worth it at all. lol

Tao, maverick doesn’t exist anymore. Warner Music Group acquired all the artists back in 2004 or 2005. Madonna is with something called Nu Nation or something weird like that.
