Gala: Cherrybomb Post Production Complete!
BELFAST, December 5, 2008, 3:07 PM – No big news other than the fact that Rupert Grint‘s movie Cherrybomb is indeed FINISHED! Yep the post production is complete, andCherrybomb is officially a finished film, as we have been told by the production team! However, there are still no distributors in place to release the film in cinemas, so that is the reason why we haven’t had many distribution materials. For this film it will take a little longer but the Cherrybomb team have been really understanding and promise to keep us informed and send us the news as it comes.
We now have a larger and untagged version of the promo shot of Rupert Grint from Cherrybomb. We added it in our gallery for you here. 
Also we have been told that the film poster from Film Catalogue was just used for sales purposes, so it is not going to be an official movie poster. There will be more!

They filmed in Hi DEF color with some snazzy new state of the art equipment so the colors in the film are going to be really vivid like this one I believe. Also it is probably the lighting of the room he is in. I have been to pubs or bars like that with a red lighting like that so no worries.

I smell Tribeca! The finished movie has to be postmarked by December 15th to be eligible. This means it could also be in Cannes and the Toronto Film Festival. These are all huge, so it’s very exciting!

I’m glad we’re get another official poster. Tao, character poster sound amazing. Imagine what Malachy’s caption would be on the poster… ?
Also, they have to work it around Rupert’s schedule but it’s good to know that the cast on DH will be getting a break while filming. Hopefully everything falls together and they get a distributor on board and have things ready for Rupert to promote hardcore!

The WB have always been very good about allowing the trio to promote their other films, etc. I don’t think CB and WT will be any different. If the film goes to Tribeca, I imagine it would be like with DL where he was only in NYC for like two days.
Ki, I don’t believe it has. I can’t be sure about for the UK, but it definitely doesn’t for the US.

I like the lighting of the picture in CB. I took it for the club scene, but wonders about Jo’s comment on vivid colors in the movie. You mean it has a surreal look to it?? Oh yes, I hadn’t thought of a bruise either, but maybe. I also noticed that tie isn’t even around a collar but kinda above it. And yes Malene I noticed that hand too just now. The vein! He has wonderful large manly hands. *sighs*

Okay this is what hubby says and he’s no expert but is VERY knowledgeable about movie making. Some of you know this stuff and some of us don’t so I’ll share what I learned.
The movie should show at Sundance. That’s in January. *if accepted* Fesitivals are where movies, mostly indies, gain exposure to attract distributors. So if the movie is good and gets good vibes it will be picked up. Hoping to get awards CB should go on to various festivals even after gaining a distributor. If CB is picked up at Sundance, he sees it being release no earlier than this summer. Then he said if it goes to Cannes *see CB thread in forums* then the movie won’t be out until fall. Cannes only shows movies that have not yet been distributed. That means iCB can have a distributor just not been released at that time.
We’ve got a semi-long wait until the general public can see it, but sounds like it will be way worth the wait. Now we need WT news.
