BURBANK, December 5, 2008, 9:37 PM – ABC Family has just aired the very first “first look” at Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. I have recorded and uploaded it. Rupert Grint is featured only in a small part here other than a quidditch scene we have seen. The file is a little large, about 15mb, but it’s great HQ and well worth the download. SECOND PART: Thanks to Aquarian for letting us know that a new piece had aired during the re-airing of Sorcerer’s Stone and now someone has uploaded an extremely bad quality version a HQ version of it here. Fans will get sneak peeks at Voldemort’s tortured past; the school’s new Potions teacher, Professor Slughorn; and “scenes of budding love in the hallowed halls of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry” — all scattered throughout the weekend programming.

Yep, Tao, I swear, it just came on! The theme was “Love is in the air”. They showed the trio, (can’t remember what Emma said), but Rupert mentioned his ‘crazy’ girlfriend, and they talkied about Harry falling for his best friend’s sister. Like last nite’s first look, it was short. They showed the common room scene when the griffs were screaming “Weasley, Weasley!”, and they showed when Lavender was about to go in for the kiss. They also showed parts of the trailer when ron gets poisoned, and David Yates was laughing at how well Rupert portrayed the scene

wicked jo, it was just the way that she said that everyone is going to love the movie, it just sounded like that could be one of the last of our sneak peeks. I could be wrong though. I would hope that they have some new material to show for tomorrow’s premiere of GOF.
Maybe rupert and Yates were referring to how horrible he is when he is nervous. As you mentioned, there have been other interviews that suggest that Ron is going to be good at Quidditch, and even will get a bit cocky.

Hmm. I’m not sure it’s the end of the stuff. They usually have things on characters. And what’s the point of making a big deal about GoF if you’re just going to end it there? lol I think tomorrow we’ll probably get the new stuff like character things… the trio, Dumbledore, Draco, Snape… those type of important things. In this film Ron’s probably bad at quidditch at first because he doesn’t have enough confidence and when he thinks he’s under the Felix Felicis effect he’s actually a really good player.. but I believe in the books it’s different because Ron was good at it all the time.. *confused*

I don’t think they were trying to say that Ron was just no good at quidditch. I mean, what’s the point of doing the felixis if they believe Ron is just awful at quidditch? lol They just didn’t make it a point to explain it. Or maybe the way ABC Family edited it made it sound worse…

I just hope they don’t condense all of the Ron wonderfulness into one chapter length (like on a dvd). You know how all of the wonderfulness of Ron is in the Yule ball stuff in GoF, and then it’s back to Harry.
J/K, I do like Harry’s story and all, but I LOVE Ron’s story more!!!

Actually Harry is my least favorite character of the series lol.. but I liked all the stuff he was learning with Dumbledore about Voldemort’s past so that will be fun to watch.

Maybe the fact that the fifth book is also my least favorite didn’t help lol.. and I shouldn’t be blaming Yates I didn’t like how he gave all Ron’s lines to Hermione and how they invented parts that were not in the books

In general I thought the movie was slightly boring.. and it’s not a movie that I like to rewatch.
Actually in this movie I would be devastated if they cut Dumbledore’s funeral.. it was the one thing I was really excited to see come to life but I believe it has already been anounced they will not have it.. at least we get to see more Ron and I hope they do him justice because they totally forgot him in the previous one.. I’m very curious about the whole Draco-Snape story because they didn’t show much in the trailers and Voldemort as a kid, that would be the only thing that will make Harry’s story worth watching lol. Hopefully they won’t have too many Harry-Ginny (I don’t like the ship) moments

And lol at people panicking over the idea of Ron not being very good at Quidditch. Well, no, when he was nervous (and when he was pissed off at Hermione), he WASN’T very good. But we’ve already heard them say that when he thinks he’s drunk Felix, he “performs miracles” and is so good he gets ‘cocky.” And you just saw scenes of everyone cheering him in the common room and being serenaded with chants of “Weasley! I use to hate OOTD and I still kind of do because some of them still make those “not bad for a ginger” comments and I don’t want to associate myself with ignorant people like that. But yeah I have been in the Rupert fandom for 5 years now and when I first joined I bet all of those people suddenly jumping on the band wagon were dissing him then. Things have definitely changed.

In some ways, it still hasn’t changed. You get really ignorant comments like Jo mentioned, and others saying ‘eww’ and crap. Sometimes you can still look at the comments there and see completely stupid things like, “He’s not in the Harry Potter movies enough for me to judge.” Or crap like that. But for the most part, ONTD seems to be pro-Rupert 90% of the time.

Suzeeq I just mean in general the hate level has gone down. It use to be really really bad, I mean BAD but it’s really died away A LOT and that is great. As for OOTD well they do still make bad comments about him there and trust me nothing has changed poll or not. I hated that no HP site posted the CB poster (aside from SS) but posted stuff on Dan and Emma that were equally as interesting to fans. I mean, I understand more of Dan’s stuff because he’s talking Harry Potter, and that’s the important thing… but when you talk about Emma’s magazine pictures or her attending different things that don’t even reflect HP, then you need to add the CB poster to the list!
