Another Rupert Grint Rave Reviews Update: OotP Era!

As you all know, ICM staff never rests – even when the news are slow, we always have some Rupert Grint goodies for you, to help us cope with the news draught. Thus, I have just added 29 new/old reviews of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (starting from Entertainment Weekly), plus three of Driving Lessons and two of Goblet of Fire.

As for Order of the Phoenix, I must have read about 300 reviews, and all critics had nothing but nice words to say about Rupert, however most of them sing the same chorus:

“Rupert Grint is tragically underused.”
“It’s a shame to see Grint’s screen time so diminished.”
“Grint is a wonderful actor but he is given almost nothing to do.”  Etc. etc.

So it is not just us Rupert fans complaining about his reduced screen time in OotP, but the professional movie critics too! However, according to the test screenings reports, Rupert is given A LOT more to do in Half-Blood Prince, so hopefully we won’t have to sing the above chorus ever again…

Anyway, enjoy the read! And many thanks to our lovely Karin for taking time and trouble to find and/or translate some of the reviews.

Oh and I’m going to make a new forum post (in the censored section, of course) about some of his co-stars abysmal acting… *ahem, ahem*

Maybe the producers started to pay attention to what has been said about Rupert being underused. So far, from the trailer we have seen, Rupert is gonna hit the ball out of the ball park. I laugh at the love potion scene. Look at his expression about about not knowing Romilda Vane. LOL

My worry: the critics were happy with ootP because Rupert was able to move Ron out of the buffoon / comic relief pigeonhole. In HBP Ron’s character falls right back in to that comic personna. Hopefully, Yates and Kloves have retained some of his character’s ‘growth’ scenes.

I have such high hopes for Rupert/Ron in HBP… If WB dream team decides to trim down the movie, they’d better get rid of all unimportant stuff (i.e. Voldy’s past, Dumbledore’s monologues, Harry’s heroics…) and focus on Ron!!! Hehe.

We all know Rupert is going to kick ass but what about those HP sites who don’t like him? What news will they have when it is all Rupert? Hmmm interesting concept huh?

Yeah, they will have nothing to report if it’s all about Rupert. *ends sarcasm* Screw them. Like someone said in a couple of years, those sites will no longer exist. They’ll become Twilight sites. 😉

I know suzeeq but if they do put the main focus on RON when HBP comes out I am going to LMAO at those HP sites. They will just be stuck posting their Emma fashion shoots or Dan’s appearnace on Leno meanwhile we will be posting, RUPERT GRINT steals the scene, Rupert Grint is genius with his comedic timing and yes critics have already called him GENIUS so I can say that with pride! 🙂

We’ll make them eat their dirty socks. LOL

Yes, he is a genius and he is gifted. He’s smart, funny, and beautiful (in any order you like).

OMG the Chichester review is AWFUL and Ivana, the word”abysmal”is totally unfair if you read the reviews, maybe Rupert is still the best but Dan has improved the most.Jo,don’t be so arrogant, please.

Ivana

Yeah Anonymous well Dan has indeed improved the most because he was unbearably terrible in the beginning, so in his case there was most room for improvement.
Oh and before calling Jo or anyone else arrogant, find us a review where a serious critic has called Dan a genius. 😛

Yeah they are so insecure about Dan or Emma and their mediocre acting, they have to bash Rupert on here every time good reviews are posted. You never see us going on Dan or Emma sites to bash them! Why is that?

1.Rupert is so talented we dont have to go around and whine on Dan and Emma sites to make him seem better.

2.We have lives

Why would you say that Anonymously?

If you disagree, don’t be anonymous about it…..

Oh, Bilius, I was worried about that too. I’m hoping that part is justified, being that it’s Ron being on the love potion and all….

However, I am upset that they took his line at the end and gave it to Hermione….once again!!!

Oh and, they did take the tension out of their relationship (no arguing…), but IDK, it might be for the best.

But, I WANT tension in DH. I want REAL arguing and tension in that movie.

Oh and does anyone know where I can find the sneak peek reviews for HBP for Ron???? You know, how on sites, they get buried after a while…..

Forget about all that other stuff and just answer my doggone question about Ron, shoot….
