Rupert Grint’s Rave Reviews Update: PoA Era!

Reviews ahoy! For those of you who never get tired reading about Rupert Grint’s awesomeness, I have now added 72 old/new reviews of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban to the eponymous section of our Rave Reviews (starting from Home Theater Info). As before, some critics single out Rupert, others praise him alonside his co-stars. I was especially pleased to discover that, despite the fact that Rupert’s screentime in PoA was notably diminished compared to previous two HP films, he nevertheless managed to produce a stellar performance and earn critics’ praise – thus proving an old saying true: “There are no small roles, only small actors”.

Enjoy!

Aw how much I love that behind the scenes from POA! Few scenes but good ones.

I agree with you Lilly it looks like Cuaron really enjoyed to work with Rupert. Cuaron is a really nice dude, havent met him of course but as a mexican we get some articles about him constantly, you know interviews and all that…

Yeah, I remember Cuaron made a list of the best actors he ever work with and he said Rupert was one of them, in the middle of quite of few good names!
Yeah, he said R-U-P-E-R-T !! 😉

And one more R&Hr moment that was cut off the movie!
Look the his hair! 😀

Lilly … after you posted that video Ive been in youtube.. I think at least for an hour!
Im sucha bad/distracted girl.. I suppose to be working! lol
But I just love to see videos!

I was reading also a Cuaron interview and they ask him if “Y tu mama tambien” inspired him to add spice to the potter trio and he said that it does in one way cuz he though Ron and Hermione were taking too much time to show “something” and then he mentions the hypogriff death scene.

They should add more behind the scenes and bloopers to the DVDs!!
And interviews of course.
Hopefully well get a whole disc of that in the last movie DVD. Please!

Val I completely agree with you! they really should put more behind the scenes and bloopers in the HP dvd’s, like in DL, but even more! Like in LotR for example, a whole dvd of extras (I LOVE Extras in dvds) 😀 I’m repeating myself a lot in this comment for some reason lol sorry
and yeah, people are getting a bit snappy, which is understandable, with the lack of news and the problems I’m sure we all have in RL, but that’s ok, good friends are not the ones who never fight! it’s a thing of the moment, we all love each other here and solve our issues pacificaly (sp?) 😉

I LOVE PoA the movie, hate the book. I like it for the same reasons you do Lilly. Artistically, it is the most unique of the films. And so far, Cuaron is the only director to show the sexual tension b/w Ron and Hermione. No other film has them touching each other (except Hermione bitch-slapping Ron in GoF).

The scene outside the Shrieking Shack is probably my favorite. If you’ve ever seen Frank Capra’s “It’s a Wonderful Life” , you might notice the huge similarities. Jimmy Stewart (George) and Donna Reed (Mary), just acquaintences, are standing infront of an old run-down, supposedly haunted house. Mary secretly makes a wish to live there some day with George — and that’s what happens 🙂

LOL. On the contrary I love the book and the movie is my least favorite out of all of them. Everyone has thier own opinions, it varys from fan to fan.

Bilius, when did Hermonie bitch slap Ron in GOF?

Awwww Billius! So cute that thing about “It’s a Wonderful Life” , havent seen it but sounds adorable.

And I know many people didnt like POA but I must confess I love it, there’s something about it. Sexual tension! I dont know about you but sometimes with the HP movies I skip scenes ( not the Ron one’s of course) and with POA I dont have that necessity maybe one or two scenes.

Wicked Jo I hope we get lucky in the next DVDs!!
You know something I like about Disney movies? That they make a lot of special features, interviews, behind the scenes and stuff about a movie and transmited in the channel between shows. WB should do that.

dude i just read this over at

http://www.411mania.com/movies/columns/89664/411-Movies-Roundtable:-November-2008-Part-2.htm

it says
Brimfield: Having worked in a bookshop before I know all too well about the Twilight phenomenon. If this movie’s any good, cinema may well have a franchise that could topple the almighty Potter. Incidentally, Rupert Grint is filming in my hometown at the moment. He’s reeeeeeally short.

THEY WERE TALKING ABOUT HOW TWILGHT IS GOING TO BE LIEK HARRY POTTER.. & THIS CHICK MENTIONS RUPERT & HOW SHORT… awe

I want to ask excuses if I sound rude above.
I didn´t meant to hurt anyone with what I said.
I just want to say that we must be very careful and clear when we express our opinnions here (what maybe I didn´t).

As Dan Radcliffe wisely said one time:

“Sometimes irony could sounds bad when you read it!”

So, add to this my bad English and you can get people confused by what I said. Sorry.

And yes, Bilius, when did Hermione slap Ron in GoF?
