Rupert Grint’s Rave Reviews Update: PoA Era!

Reviews ahoy! For those of you who never get tired reading about Rupert Grint’s awesomeness, I have now added 72 old/new reviews of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban to the eponymous section of our Rave Reviews (starting from Home Theater Info). As before, some critics single out Rupert, others praise him alonside his co-stars. I was especially pleased to discover that, despite the fact that Rupert’s screentime in PoA was notably diminished compared to previous two HP films, he nevertheless managed to produce a stellar performance and earn critics’ praise – thus proving an old saying true: “There are no small roles, only small actors”.

yes, even in PoA, with little screentime, he managed to be the best 😉

hey, Ivana I found this review of OotP:
“Also spreading their wings are Grint and Watson. Grint’s Ron is less the butt of jokes this time around and more a part of Harry’s support system — a friend who not only knows when to take the steam off Harry, but how to also be quiet when needed.”
I *think* it’s not in the rave reviews yet, at least I couldn’t find it (if it is then I’m sorry) so I thought I might share here 🙂

I thought everyone knew that. LOL We have discussed the start of filming many times here.

I am beginning to think that these critics look to see how Rupert plays Ron. It’s like okay will he be a one shot wonder or will he continually grow as his character grows. I like that. I know it’s not just Rupert but considering the praise he received for the two movies they were looking for character growth in this one.

What I love is that Rupert got a lot of praised *despite* his lack of screen time. It shows a lot about him.

I think there was always a debate on whether it would start in February or March. Lately March had been thrown around. I always thought that location shots were shot first, and that is probably why February is the start, but probably the main cast won’t start until March. Or who knows. lol I’m not privy to such things.

OT But I hate those bird sounds on Emma’s site.

You can shut it off. There is a sound button in the design. You press it and it cuts off. lol

I am aware of that. Doesn’t mean I want to hear them until then besides I go there like 3 times a year.

OUCH man! people are getting snippy! We need some good news!

Here we go again… 🙂

When they don´t came from outside, we start our cannibalism!

Calm down girls.
I know what is this.
Rupert´s privation.
Collateral effects.

Maybe Dr.Bilius could explain better.

Anyway, talking about POA, althought I like the movie in the artistic way, as a Ron fan, I have to say it´s my last fav until now.

The vision of the character was totally twisted, but even in this wrong way Cuaron showed to us, there are nice parts on it I love.
Two of my favs are, one, when Ron and Hermione are in Hogsmeade and she asked him if “he wants to get closer” of the house(can´t remember its English name) and him is like “what?” and second when Hermione is getting closer of the wolf Lupin and he keeps saying it is a bad idea! 😉

I like the scene where Ron and Hermione were sitting outside the whomping willow when sirius and harry were about to talk about harry coming to live with him. Hermione looked at his leg and said something like “Does it hurt?” and Ron said “Yeah they will probably have to cut it off” haha like Malfoy said to Pansy earlier in the movie to get sympathy from her 😉 Cute.

PoA looked pretty. I’ll leave my comment about that film to just that cuz otherwise it would get nasty in here. *lol*

Rupert I wanna see you!!!

Thanks Laura!

POA is my second favorite HP movie.
I love the book too is my 3rd fav.

Dove I love that scene too, also the ones that Lilly said.
I like the scene when the Fat Lady is gone and that they are in the stairs like. “what happened” or something.. then Ron said “Probably Neville’s forgotten the password again.” and the Neville goes “Hey”… then Ron “Oh! You are there”

ok Im gonna start to type thw whole movie…better stop.

I meant… Thanks Ivana…
sorry Laura

Dove, Val, yeah, I love these two!
Well, I love every Rupert´s scene in all the movies!
They are the best thing on them!Oh, but who am I telling this? 😀

I think Cuaron loved to work with Rupert.
He showed a lot of respect about his acting skills.
I didn´t read all the reviews but did Ivana posted one of my favs?
Where Cuaron said Rupert lives in his own place, Rupertland? 😀
So lovely, and quite a way of an artist face the things, having “his own world”! 😀

This is an example of Rupert showing a bit of Rupertland to everybody:
