Two new articles on Wild Target have just surfaced. First of, we finally get to know the names of Rupert’s and Emily’s characters! According to this article, published by ThisIsBristol, Antoine becomes Tony (logical, innit?!) while the character of Renee is renamed Rose.
The other article by IOM Today indicates that the first scenes for Wild Target are being filmed in London, while the crew is expected to arrive to the Isle of Man on 7 October and spend the remaining three weeks there! The article also offers some additional information on the movie plot as well as some production details.
Thanks Ki and Francaise!

Lol I’m so excited! I felt that these news deserved a separate post!
And as I said below, we really need to start a new Rupert’s Army project. We need to bug magazines like Empire and Total Film and such to feature Rupert! Three films in a row in 2009. two more blockbusters secured (i.e. DH 1 & 2), that’s something!
Has any of you guys had a chance to read our Rupert’s Army section yet? If not, please do so, and get ready for a new project! I’ll update soon!
Ivana – I think they are not filming yet in Isle of Mine.
The article says –
The production, which began its London shoot on Tuesday, will arrive in the Isle of Man on October 7 for three weeks.
I think they’re in London now.
Oh well, let me correct. I’m so excited, don’t know what I’m typing! Forgive me!
No biggy!
Just so to know where to look for him!
he he
Tony— that’s my father’s name. =D
I’m so happy for Rupert. YAYAYAYAYAY!!!
ttttttttttonyyyyyyyy
I just got a picture of an Italian maffia
Yesssssss , this is great! Im really really excited!
*squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee*
Neglo we need a Wild Target icon pronto!
Ivana, how close are you to Birkhead or Heysham? That’s probably where he’ll cross on the ferry that first week of October (hey, isn’t there a famous song about a ferry and the Mersey?).
I imagine he’d want a car on the island with him, although I doubt he’ll have much free time. Or get one of your students to stake out the Liverpool airport (most flights to Ronaldsway leave from Liverpool).
Who’s got money to um…persuade a Hilton worker to take some breakfast pictures?? No, I’m no stalker, really. I wouldn’t dare do something so crazy as notice all the executive suites are booked the 2nd week of October….. That’s just wrong!
Yeah, Ferry Cross the Mersey by Gerry and the Pacemakers! Love that song! Greater Manchester is right next door to Merseyside. Actually there’s quite a bit of animosity between Liverpudlians and Mancunians (like: who’s better, cooler, smarter etc.)
I’m yet to finalise my stalking strategy, but I’m working on it!
aw cool,! and thank you ki.
Looks like I need to update the side bar with the character name. Weee! So glad we’re finally getting new information.
I’m so excited, really.
We do have a Liverpudlian RupieGroupie, Ruth Hannah, but she hasn’t been around in a while. I think she’s busy with her studies.
Hey, I’ve managed to link ALL the UK acting Ruperts!! It’s more than 6 degrees, but I now believe in two short years he will be linked with all living UK thesbians (and at least 1/4 of all acting Americans).

LOL Rupert’s a good name!
I was just telling my mom that if anyone needed any further proof that Rupert is a terrific actor that can hold his own, look no further than Wild Target. There is no way that anyone would cast someone who couldn’t act and/or hold his own with such heavy hitters. It would literally drag down the film! So hooray! Rupert proves that he’s one of the best young actors out there.
Glad to hear the new names. I was really wondering about that. Is so excited. I’m hoping we get some pics from filming soon. When the heck will CB release some more pictures? I know it’s only September but I’m so anxious.
Like I said on the other entry, I knew his character´s name would be Tony, since the first news, I told you Tao, do you remember?
Hope we have some photos soon.
Val, what about “Cible Emouvante”?
I just finished to watch here on TV “The last King of Scotland” and saw that was written by Jeremy Brock in the same year of “Driving lessons”. Yeah, the guy is good!
Forest Whitaker is terrific, and James McAvoy is so good and cute!!
