As reported by Yahoo!News via HPANA, Electronic Arts Inc and Warner Bros. have confirmed that the release of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince video game will coincide with the release of the eponymous movie next summer. As you know, Rupert Grint voices the CGI Ron for the video games, and does an awesome job at that! (And, as reported, the visual look of the game for Half-Blood Prince is incredibly authentic to the film!) This is yet another reason to be sad/angry/suicidal because of the HBP delay, not only for gamers but also for all of us who enjoy Rupert’s voice-over and sync work.

We also watched Thunderpants the other day and couldn’t stop marvelling at Rupert’s awesomeness.
My husband did not even recognise Rupert when he first saw the movie, but he was like “Whoa, this kid is a genius!” And then I told him “Well you know who he is? Ron from Harry Potter.” — “No shit!” said my better half, he could not believe that it’s the same kid!

Laura remember the staff at HPANA are all up Dan and Emma’s ass, and their readers don’t know about Rupert because they don’t post news about him so they automatically think he isn’t getting anything. Of course we know Rupert has had many offers. This is off topic, but I really don’t think Emma is 100% interested in acting. She said she can’t take too many roles because she is always busy doing publicity. She will become one of those people only known for their public appearances and not roles if she isn’t careful!

Speaking at the National Movie Awards, Watson said fans can expect a funnier film than the previous instalments.
“It’s got Ron’s first kiss with Lavender in it, which is quite big news,” she said. “It’s much more of a romantic comedy, it’s much funnier than any of the other ones.

I love the fact that both Rupert and Emma appreciate the comedy element to this film over the darker stuff like Dan does.
In my opinion, Dan likes the darker stuff because he’s the one mostly portrayed in it, rather than Rupert. It seems like Emma prefers the comedy side as well. lol It was first thing that came to her mind!

If I had the money i’d buy the gamer and all the HP games that Rupert voices on just to hear his voice. The audio mentioned is so old, still in his higher voice octive. SO wants to hear a whole program with new and deeper octive that just vibrates through me.
Emma is pretty and does a decent job apparently of acting that she’ll get parts if she wants to. I don’t think Dan likes the darkers stuff cause he’s in them. He as we should all know (fans and nonfans alike) that Dan is eccentric. He likes what most people wouldn’t or more than most would.
I hate hearing how other sites and fans interpret Rupert’s career. I do not go to them so I don’t read it. Personally I want Rupert to get the recognition by everyone, but all that really matters is if he’s happy and those who do the hiring see what an excellent actor he is. I love that reviewers always notice Rupert no matter what. Like in PoA they saw him take a step back, but still acted his butt off. And GoF his role was more, but he still wasn’t central, but they thoroughly enjoyed him. In OotP I still say it was better than GoF, it’s just that there was no major Ron storyline… and critics hated it and wanted to see more of Rupert. The most natural actor!

As I’ve been saying, Emily Blunt can play “smokin’ hot” I believe that Bill Nighy probably recommended her as a replacement for Helena BC because he’s worked with her before (Gideon’s Daughter) and has a very high regard for her abilities (see his review of her in Jane Austen Book Club). From the French write-ups and trailer, I think the relationships/chemistry between Victor and Renee and Victor and Antoine are MUCH more important to the story than the relationship/chemistry between Renee and Antoine.

Girls, I´ve been away, hummm since yesterday(
?? ) but I have a new post with a Ron and Hermione´s drawing.
It´s based on a fanfic of an old LJ friend of mine and great writer, Willowwand, called “In the Orchard”, placed after DH, that tell us about their “first time”.
It´s so beautiful and it´s hosted on Checkmated Bedchamber, so if you have access, there is a link on my page for it.

Lilly, you know I love that story and all Willowand’s writing! I can never get over how luminescent the skin looks, how expressive their eyes, how accurate the body positioning / placements. Lovely resemblance to Belle Epoch posters!

I have to say this (regarding possible changes to the movie.)
I’m not worried about them making changes regarding Rupert’s wonderful performance, as I am some people who have seen it being a bit bothered about the seeming emphasis on “romance.”
Being a hardcore shipper, I for one say bring on the romance, especially, the Ron, Hermione and Lavender related stuff.
However, (and this was before the movie was reviewed,) there are folks who didn’t like the romance in the book and thought the emphasis should be on early Voldemort and the Horcrux stuff.
While, I was saddened that the Gaunts was left out, I love Ron, so oh well.
But, that’s the only complaint that I’ve heard in the negative form. So, I just fear that if people (readers) who wasn’t into the shipping stuff, or (non-readers) who think that the movie is completely different from the other movies because of it were able to make suggestions, they may consider the amount of romance stuff in the book.
I will say this as an HP fan, they’ve changed and omitted so much stuff of importance, it’s going to be hardpressed to put it back in. (However, it was hard for them to know what was important before the books were completed.)
Studio exec: How was I to know that damn house elf from the 2nd movie was going to be such a tearjerker in the last book. I thought he was annoying. I guess we shouldn’t have cut corners there.
I’m still convinced that Bellatrix is going to kill Neville (since he’s all but replaced Dobby) at Malfoy Manor/Shell Cottage and THEN his GHOST is going to come back and fight in the final battle and somehow kill Nagini.
Anyway, yes, that’s my major fear is that the non-shippers will have their way and get some of the funny romantic stuff cut.
But, they had better NOT touch my Ron!!!
Do you think that because Ron has his major injury in HBP, they will forgo him getting splinched in DH? I have a fear they might.

Val well Cannon I think here means Ron’s fave Quidditch team, Chudley Cannons. Hermione walking around in any of his shirts is pretty hot though!!
The other one, Canon like as in Canon character is just meaning like facts about a character or the story. Non-Canon is what you get in fan fiction, it didn’t happen in the original.

HE DID GROW!!!
Oh laws!!! I just ran across a pic I’ve never seen (at the F1 event, with him walking with his father and his brother.) I know, crazy that I’ve never seen this pic, right.
And he’s almost just as tall as his dad and his brother (and his brother still has those skateboard shoes on with the high soles.)
And he’s right up there with them.
I knew it, just like Leo. Shot up like a dandelion.

I was just watching DL again, and talking about how wonderfully he conveys emotion just with his eyes, I just love watching his face in the bus scenes with Evie.
He’s got all these feelings flashing on his face. You can almost hear his thoughts.
First at the bus-stop when Evie’s cussing up a storm. He looks like he’s thinking, “Okay, just pretend you don’t know her, pretend you don’t know her…”
I love the little glance he gives to the big guy standing next to him, hoping against hope the guy’s not paying attention to Evie’s potty mouth.
On the bus, he’s thinking: “OMG just sit down and be quiet, please! OMG, she’s going to get us murdered by the ipod guy. No, I don’t want a ‘sweetie,’ I want you to be quiet! OMG, why won’t she shut up! OMG, kill me now, please! Wha– ‘LESBIAN??’ ARRGH! I don’t want that mental picture!’ OMG, I AM NOT GAY!!!”

i always look for those little things. his face is just so wonderfully expressive. what gets me is the way he’s able to look *truly* depressed in some scenes and then truly happy in others. all without words.

Hehe AJ, it’s always hard to tell when people are walking and when others are closer to a camera, but you’ve got a great point. WIth Nigel at least. He looks just as tall! Not sure about with James… I don’t think he’s that tall because Robert Sheehan was way taller than him. lol (Don’t know how tall the dude is, but I think James is like 5’11″) But who knows, that 5’10″ might be more legit now.

As I was browsing through some of the comments pages back and whatnot; most of us have been worried that the “romance” would likely be cut down because others might still want to HARRY POTTER dark side of it. Aww, she said the saddest scene in the movie is when Hermione sends the birds after Ron. I’m very excited to see Emma in this one.
