Gala: Emily Blunt to replace Helena Bonham Carter in “Wild Target”
Last week we informed you that Emily Blunt would be joining the cast of Wild Target Rupert Grint’s new dark comedy movie based of the 1993 French film Cible Emouvante. Since then a lot of fans have been asking the question as to whether Emily Blunt would be actually replacing Helena Bonham Carter. We were informed that this is true and Helena Bonham Carter is unable to commit to this project. For those not aware Helena had a recent tragedy in her family so our thoughts and prayers go out to her and we hope to see her again soon. Wild Target is still scheduled to begin shooting later this month so we will keep you updated on any new information we get.

I’m in the minority that I didn’t really like The Devil Wears Prada; however, I did like Emily Blunt in it. (plus the boyfriend was cute too) So I’m glad it’s her. Just so sad for Helena and her family. Can’t wait to hear more about the movie.

She and Bill Nighy had chemistry in Gideon’s Daughter, so she should do well acting with him and we all know Rupert has chemistry with everybody. lol

Can Fleur or Francais tell us anything more about what the dynamic is between Antoine and Renee?? Help us out you francophiles please! The trailer isn’t showing me the extent of the relationship between Renee and either of the two men. It doesn’t help that my grasp of the French language can’t keep up with the speed of the dialogue. Doh!
Rupert and Emily are very close in age (5-6 years apart), whereas Bill Nighy is like 60. It seems a bit lop-sided. Helena lent a good age spacing to the dynamic.

Well, maybe we’ll see him soon. I mean, he starts filming in 8 days. Or that’s the schedule we know of at least.
That said, man, I love watching Rupert’s movies and just concentrating on Rupert. I just finished DL and I can’t tell you how amazing he is. Not that we didn’t know, and I’m preaching to the choir here, but seriously. His scenes with the father are some of the best. And I tell you, I enjoy the post yell-a-thon to the actual yelling between Evie and Ben. Not that I don’t love that, Rupert’s amazing, but his reaction to the whole thing afterwards is just amazing. And I love when he’s about to see his Dan with the glass of milk and he spots Laura out of the corner of his eye. Great acting. Or when he looks like he’s thinking of hugging Evie at the end and thinks twice about it. hehe Oh, or his nervousness with Bryony!
Of course, that had nothing to do with anything, but I just had to mention it. Always, always, watch anything Rupert is and concentrate solely on him.

The pool scene, SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!! One of my fave parts of the movie. His body action, the way he is squinting and swings his arm out and says, “Was just……….walking!”
And I love love the moments of him alone when he’s looking up at the night sky in wonderment. That was like looking in the face of God lol.
But yeah his fight with Evie is great but I really like everything leading up to it and when he yells out “I forgive you!” He just pissed her off, I was laughing my ass off!

I did Jo! It was when we first learned about it, so they’re a bit late. But hey, better late than never, right? That’s what annoyed me when they didn’t do anything on CB. Not every Rupert fan spends hours on Rupert sites so they rely on the HP sites for all their news.
That’s too bad Suzeeq! I love it. I have both versions. The UK version and the US version. The UK one I got from amazon.co.uk and the US one I actually had to go to three stores. Grrr! I went to Best Buy and nothing. Then I went to FYE (I was willing to spend extra!), but finally found it at Wal-Mart. I don’t think they have it for sale any more.

I’m scrolling down and see Rupert and bulging. I almost fainted. Love DL so much. Truly. Very nice little film. Love those moments too and his sadness and anger while in the car waiting for his mother get me too. “Just walking” part is wonderful, Jo! Like you said his mannerisms and tone is so funny. Something few mention is his face when he’s upset that Evie was going to skip out on paying. He mentions how big the manager was and looks all scared.

That’s the problem. The other directors fucked up the story between R/Hr. The movie only people are confused and are scratching their heads going WTH. Yates had a lot to fix, and I think he’s done a pretty good job of it. I think DH will be a force to be reckoned with because most of it sounds fixed. (Especially if he can get Kloves to stop making Hermione so grand and Ron not so much.)

They’re too busy thinking that no one could lust after such a hot redhead! They need to know better! It’s really frustrating, actually. I don’t mind some funny photoshoots with Bill Nighy and Emily Blunt, but for CB, I want something intense!! I’m still kind of depressed about some of the photoshoots Twilight is getting. I love the book, but man… they’re getting Men’s Vogue, Teen Vogue, In Style, and I think a few others. Why aren’t we getting more of this with the trio?? I just don’t get it. It’s unfair!!

OMG LMAO Oh thank you for finding that trailer, Lilly and Val! This movie is going to be hysterical. LOL I’m still laughing when Antoine shoots the gun and covers his mouth, like “Ohhhh, woops,” Love it!!! How many folks in here are looking forward to seeing Rupe/Antoine(maybe) brandish a loaded weapon? Uncross your appendages and raise them if you hear me!
Oh, and that scene in DL where he’s doing all of the physical comedy in the lobby is definitely one of my favorite moments, I laugh everytime I see it. Rupert could absolutely do a silent movie, where it’s all physical comedy and facial gestures. Just like Charlie Chaplin and Buster Keaton.
I need to brush up on all of the actors, directors Rupert had done work with in CB and WT. Hopefully I can find it on YouTube.

I swear, I don’t get these people. They just read headlines and then get all freaked out when they see something they didn’t expect. And how is D/E getting more offers? What? Because Dan is in a major play, did DB, MBJ and was asked to do Journey? And what does Emma have? Ballet Shoes, that cartoon movie, and Besty and Napolen, or whatever, and she might not even do it? Yeah, okay. Grant you Rupert didn’t do anything last year, but he’s had the most consistent career outside of Hogwarts. Thunderpants, Peter Pan, Molesworth, Driving Lessons, Cherrybomb and Wild Target.
And yes Michelle! I thought the same thing. Rupert doing that part is going to be hilarious, especially considering his eyes. It reminds me of when he turns the corner to his house and sees the old guy in his mom’s clothing. That reaction is priceless!

OH I’m gonna cry, Charle Chaplin!!!!!!! Robert Downey Jr. was brilliant playing Charlie, Rupert would be perfect in a dramatic role like that. OK I’m jumping ahead but I sooo want to see him do something like that later in his career….

I can see Rupert doing a magazine spread with a wet t-shirt torn and blue jeans and his wet hair is in his eyes I can see that, that would be so hot!! I love that part in DL when he comes back from the trip he stops and gives an expression when he sees the old man wearing women clothes that was funny and when he walked up to them, Rupert stared at the man up and down with an expression that was too funny!

Someone pm’ed one of the people that saw the testscreening AJ, this is what she said:
“A lot of people have asked me about the toothpaste scene but for some reason i can’t recall a scene like that! i don’t know if it was a two second thing i missed or what!
There was a scene where all three of them go to the three broomsticks and Hermione drinks butterbeer which leaves “foam on her mouth” ( like after u drink milk) and Ron sort of awkwardly lets her know and she quickly wipes it off before he can.. ( so maybe this is a follow up to the tooth paste scene?? )
The scene in the hospital was just great!
Lavender comes running to drool all over her won won and she is annoyed at seeing hermione there. They both sort of go at each other like ” what is she doing here?” , and lavender says
“i’m his GIRLfriend” and Hermione goes.. ” im his….FRIEND” and then, ron starts to say “rrrrrrrrrr”, and everyone’s trying to figure out what he says… and lavender says” see, he’s responding to me” ( or something on those lines)… and ron says ” hrrrrr…eeeee”, “hrrrrrr..nnneee” and then finally… ” hrrrrr myyyy neeeeaahh” ..that was the best!!!
and hermione’s just sitting by his side, holding his hand and smiling and harry gives her this look to which she says ” oh shut up”! it was very cute
the scene after which lavender and ron kiss has hermione crying on harry’s shoulder with the canaries flying above here, and then lavender and ron burst in… and lavender goes looking out for another room, hermione sends the birds at ron’s head but he’s very passive about it, he just shrugs them off and walks off…!

Well, how much screen time did Dan have in his films? And imo, it wasn’t him who stood out in MBY, and I didn’t really get the horse thing in DB (unless it was foreshaddowing Equus…).
