Rupert Grint in new “Into the White” clip!

January 26th, 2011, 3:12 PM– VG.no have just published an article and a brand new clip from the soon-to-be-released film Into the White.

This clip features Rupert Grint as Robert Smith and Stig Henrik Hoff as Wolfgang Strunk in a “bromancy” moment while skiing! Not only do we get to see Rupert on skis and showing his competetive side, but we also hear him speak in his accent – truly a far cry from his “normal” one! :)

You can view the great clip and read the original article here.

We hope to have the translation up in a short while! Until then, enjoy the clip!

UPDATE: Thanks to Malene‘s quick work, we now have the translation of the article!

“Well, he claimed he had an uncle who had seen a pair of skis once. And he tried out on modern equipment the day before. But then we just had to move on to filming; he didn’t have a clue! He fell and rolled over and stood like a chicken; we laughed until we cried. But Rupert gave everything he had and kept, quite impressively, his good mood. Even though he was ice cold by the end of it.”

Rupert Grint: Into the White WORLD PREMIERE!

January 24th, 2011, 8:48AM– Filmfest Oslo has just issued a press release where it is confirmed that the new film with Rupert Grint, Into the White, will have its WORLD PREMIERE in Oslo, Norway on March 4 during the Filmfest Oslo. This date is finally set in stone – so it will just be a matter of time before the film will reach the other countries that have gotten distribution so far.

In the press release, director Petter Næss comments on the world premiere by saying:

“It’s a big thing to be able to close Oslo’s new film festival, and I am looking forward to showing it to the audience at the esteemed Folketeatret. It’s extra special when thinking about the fact that my parents met each other at that spot at the end of the 50s, My dad worked as a set designer, my mother as an actress, and I was probably conceived in the string attic or in the painting hall. It’ll be like coming home.”

Morten Steingrimsen, the program director from Filmfest Oslo, is very excited about the chance to have the world premiere at this particular film festival: “Petter Næss is one of of the most recognised film makers in Norwegian film, and it is with great pleasure that his ‘Into the White’ will close the festival. It is a powerful and grand drama with an impressive cast.”

Previously it became known that another Norwegian film will premiere during the film festival, Kompani Orheim. “As a new festival, we’re proud to be able to offer the audience two of the winter’s great Norwegian films.”, Steingrimsen concludes.

We don’t know whether or not Rupert will be attending the world premiere, but we are currently awaiting reply from his reps. Crossed fingers worldwide. :-) Simply because it’s difficult to get enough of Into the White – let’s take another look at the first trailer from the film:

UPDATE: According to his reps, Rupert will hopefully be able to attend the event in Oslo. :-)

January 17th, 2011, 9:10AM– We have another ICM Exclusive coming your way – and this time it is an interview with Stig Henrik Hoff who plays Wolfgang Strunk opposite Rupert Grint in the new film Into the White by Petter Næss!

The Norwegian actor Stig Henrik Hoff was gracious enough to sit down and answer some questions from the ICM staff. He is known to be a man with a playful and light-hearted personality, and this is definitely the Stig who we heard from last night. You can read all about his experience filming Into the White in Norway’s extreme weather conditions, what he thought of Rupert Grint‘s skiing abilities and how he felt about the character Strunk. Here’s a sneak peek of what mr. Hoff had to say about Rupert:

We had a great time shooting, a lot of fun and laughs, and Rupert impressed me! Young guy, dead on, always dead on, well prepared and funny, generous, without any moviestar-shit, such a likeable person.

You can read the entire interview with Mr. Hoff here!

Zentropa Norway has released a brand new poster for the film, and we’re happy to show you guys a HQ version of the brilliant poster showing the five main characters with the dramatic background of a Norwegian landscape. Rupert Grint: Into the White goes GLOBAL – 21 countries and counting!

January 13th, 2011, 9:28PM– Big news keep on coming from the team behind the new film with Rupert Grint, Into the White. We just received a press release from the film’s distributor Scanbox Entertainment – and the film now has distribution in no less than 21 countries. There is no doubt that many more countries will come after the film festivals of early 2012, and some more PR by the actors, producers, distributors and director, Petter Næss. One thing is for certain – we can’t wait!

The 21 countries listed in the press release are the following: Germany, Great Britain, Spain, Thailand, Austria, Switzerland, Ireland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Australia, New Zealand, Serbia, Montenegro, Albania, Croatia, Andorra, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Luxembourg, Slovenia and Macedonia.

An impressive piece of news, isn’t it? :-) You can read the press release in its entirety here!

Also, this press release has generated some articles in the Norwegian press today, and we have the translations for you! They are great – and you can see a sneak peak from an article from tv2.no here, where Stig Henrik Hoff talks about working with Rupert:

It’s not every day that 300 screaming fans are standing everywhere outside of my hotel. Now I know they’re not there for me but for Rupert, but that doesn’t matter!

You can read the articles in our Press Archive, you can find “Stig Henrik Hoff: This is absolutely magical!” here where you can read about Hoff’s experience teaching Rupert how to ski, which sounds very entertaining.

“21 countries have secured Into the White” can be found here!

Thanks to Malene for translating!

Enjoy! :-)
